Rehoboth A.M.E. Church was founded in 1865. Rehoboth had its first service in a bush tent in the year 1865. Since that time the church has been remodeled once and rebuilt recently in 2004. Rehoboth’s first building was purchased from Deep Creek United Methodist Church. In Rehoboth’s early days traveling A.M.E. pastors were paid with hand scrubbed laundry service, produce, eggs and chickens. In the newly rebuilt church a mural history of Rehoboth’s pastors through the years is displayed.
